This Month's Specials:
This week's Inspiration Soup is a couple of quotes from John Lennon. I came across these some time ago and every time I read them they mean a little more.
“I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It’s just that the translations have gone wrong.”
“The only time we took drugs was when we were without hope and the only way we got out of it was with hope and if we can sustain the hope then we don’t need drugs, liquor or anything. But if we lose hope, what can you do? What is there to do?”
“Now, in the sixties we were naïve, like children. Everybody went back to their rooms, and said, ‘We didn’t get a wonderful world of just flowers and peace and happy chocolate, and it won’t be just pretty and beautiful all the time,’ and just like babies everyone went back to their rooms and sulked. ‘We’re going to stay in our rooms and play rock and roll and not do anything else, because the world’s a horrible place, because it didn’t give us everything we cried for.’ Right? ...well, crying for it wasn’t enough. The thing the sixties did was show us the possibilities and the responsibility that we all had. It wasn’t the answer. It just gave us a glimpse of the possibility.”
“Reality leaves a lot to the imagination.”
I quite often get a comment like, "I didn't do anything stressful since I last saw you", or if their adjustment is long, "I thought I was doing good, I don't feel tense". I use the term stored tension as a way to describe to you what I feel is going on in your body. If tension gives you a feeling of anxiety or stress, then think of it this way:
Every time we cannot process an event (chemical, physical, emotional or spiritual), we store it. The body, in it's infinite wisdom, stores experiences so we don't have to go through the whole process of that incident again. The adjustment allows those stored experiences the opportunity to resurface and integrate into your nerve system so you can learn, grow and evolve from those experiences. The reason experiences are stored as tension is because it is a process that is not being computed by your nerve system. Imagine a process on your computer that is hanging (not responding), it usually affects all the operations and the entire computer. The more processes that are "not responding" the less your computer is able to operate efficiently, let alone at it's maximum potential. So, it can be said, the "not responding" programs are creating tension in the computer - it is not a virus or a worm, it is merely a program (experience) that has not integrated into the system. So, come in, get adjusted and get those stored experiences integrated so you can operate to your fullest potential!

Your Family Could be Eating Organic Food for the Same Price as Processed Foods -- or Less - Contributing editor and naturopathic student doctor Colleen Huber takes you on a trip to a grocery store to show how realistic eating whole, organic foods can be.
My friend, Dr. Eric Tan, has opened a beautiful “Café of Life” style chiropractic practice downtown. Eric graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. Since March 1999, Eric has studied with Dr. Sue Brown, the creator of the Bio-Geometric Integration (B.G.I.) Chiropractic model. Now, Eric has brought his vision and chiropractic expertise to Intuitive Soul. Intuitive Soul is a living work of art and a symbol of commitment to contribute toward the creation of a healthier planet.
I am thrilled Eric has opened his practice downtown, giving more people an opportunity to experience honoring chiropractic adjustments with a vitalistic approach to healing, health and life. Eric adjusts using the same approach and ideology as myself and I’m looking forward to seeing his practice becoming a beacon of Life and Health downtown. Tell your friends, collegues or anyone you care about, to check Eric out.
