Thoughts on a Half-Shell

I have been reading "A Deep Breath of Life" by Alan Cohen every morning for over 1/2 a year and the impact on my daily life has been amazing. This story came on April 14th:

"I used to think I was a perfectionist," Larry confessed. "I wass constantly finding flaws and errors that other people overlooked. If there were many aspects of a job that were well done and one that wasn't, I would point out that one. But now I realize I was an imperfectionist. If I was a perfectionist, I would have found perfection everywhere I looked; instead, I saw only imperfection."

Last month my wife and I were getting ready to pick up a dresser for the baby's room but to our dismay, the company was having problems with the shipment and offered to refund our money so we could try to find another one. Frustration began to set in when we couldn't find a replacement that we liked or was affordable. My wife mentioned to me that perhaps we it just wasn't meant to be and we should go back and re-order the original and hope it comes in sometime in the next year. I told her, if we just trust the process and don't panic, something better will come up. Sure enough, we entered a furniture store on pure whimsy and found exactly what we were looking for and for less than our original purchase price!

I am always amazed when I trust the universe, things will happen and circumstances will be created in order for me to live to my fullest potential. Follow your heart, live life intently and live with love not fear and you will see how easy things will come.

Any number of factors can interfere with the flow of the love hormones designed to encourage ease of birth and mother/infant bonding. Simply nudging the labouring woman’s thinking brain by asking unnecessary or untimely questions is considered risky stimulation to Odent. Harsh sounds and bright lights are others. Even creating an inhibition of shyness or embarrassment by being observed changes the chemistry. This is escalated manifold when you venture into epidural administration of chemical pain killers, monitoring, machines going bleep, and full anesthetic caesarean surgery surrounded by strangers in masks and uniforms. Can I walk the streets after sunset? I just look at local birth statistics. Chiropractic Influence on Oxidative Stress and DNA Repair - 07 Mar 2005

There is a growing body of evidence that wellness care provided by doctors of chiropractic may reduce health care costs, improve health behaviors, and enhance patient perceived quality of life. Until recently, however, little was known about how chiropractic adjustments affected the chemistry of biological processes on a cellular level.

In a landmark study published this week in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research (JVSR; http://www.jvsr.com), chiropractors collaborating with researchers at the University of Lund found that chiropractic care could influence basic physiological processes affecting oxidative stress and DNA repair. These findings offer a scientific explanation for the positive health benefits reported by patients receiving chiropractic care.

Last Month's Question - Why doesn't Kevin tell me exactly when to come back and get adjusted again? Every person heals and responds to an adjustment differently. To make an assumption on YOUR healing process would be calling you "average" and put limitations on your ability to heal!

How can a child be choking on an umbilical cord if he hasn't taken his first breath and is still attached to the placenta?
