The Law of Vitality - Dr. John Demartini
Today I would love to share with you another inspiring law
called the Law of Vitality. Some people come to me and say, “John, I’d love to
have your energy. Where do you get all the energy for all the things you do?”
And I say, “Well, being clear on where you are going in life is important.” Here
are some of the secrets that help me to live life with vitality . One of
the secrets of the Law of Vitality is to know where you are going. If you have a
clear road map, it is easy to get there. Your energy soars. Another key is
gratitude! If you have gratefulness to life, your energy picks up. If you are
depressed about life and ungrateful, your energy shuts down. A third aspect of
building vitality is to make sure that you have some sort of moderation in your
diet. Many people go out and try to gain energy by “pigging out,” thinking they
are going to gain energy from food. This is not the way to do it! It has
actually been shown that if you eat less, you will have increased vitality. I
don’t mean starving yourself, or going on the “Gandhi” diet, but what I mean is
to “eat light.” Always walk away from the table feeling a little less full,
rather than more. You will find you have more vitality. You might be a little
thin. That is fine. It is better to have two pounds less than it is to have two
pounds more. It has been shown that we live longer if we eat less. And we also
have more vitality. Eating less! Being grateful! Being clear on our mission! All
these make a difference. The next key to vitality is water! People who drink a
lot more water, rather than any other liquid, increase their vitality. I
encourage you to make sure that you drink lots and lots of water every day! Even
when I am writing and speaking, I am drinking water, because it is a universal
solvent, and it opens up to the universal mind.
Another element is breathing! Sit down and take deep breaths! My observation of
some of the most magnetic and charismatic people in the world is that they
breathe diaphragmatically. They breathe deeply. Like Pavoratti they breathe a
very deep breath. I encourage you to stop now. Let your chest and abdomen fill
up when you take a deep breath. In! Out! Let the oxygen come in! Let the toxins
dissipate in the air! In Eastern mysticism and in the philosophies of the East,
they describe a Prana in the breath. It brings life force in the breath. I
believe that every time we take a breath, we do bring in a life force. So I say,
“Breathe deeply. Drink a lot of water. Be grateful for what you have in life.
Have certainty and clarity in your mission. Eat moderately.” The next way
to increase your vitality is to make sure that your vocation and your avocation
are the same, or that they are connected. If you are not doing what you love and
loving what you do, you have a “brake” on all the time. That is the fastest way
to break down your energy! Do you want to run down and distract yourself with
things you do not love doing? Hardly! Define what you love doing. Be clear about
it. And follow these principles that add vitality to life. Last, but not
least, one of the most powerful aids to add vitality is to smile! You know, if
you do a little smiling, it does make a difference. It tends to change your
physiology. And look up to life! Go outside and stand out there in nature and
look up into the heavens and smile at life. Say “Thank you, Universe! Thank you
for the gifts that I have been receiving!” Your vitality will pick up! Not only
will you have vitality in your body, but also you will have it in your creations
and in your actions. You will be a creative and a productive individual by
following the Law of Vitality.
Just wondering..... I don't know how many of you have ever seen what a typical chicken farm looks like. I've seen documentaries about poultry farms and I am shocked that there hasn't been a poultry pandemic earlier. These farms already use incredibly strong antibiotics and vaccines to keep the chickens alive in abysmal conditions. Frankly, I wonder if the powers that be are choosing the correct party for extermination - should it be the chickens or the poultry farm owners? Maybe the positive that comes out of this is we see more free range chicken farms of which I haven't seen one labeled with an infection.

A: A Chiropractic Adjustment.
14. Q: Knowing that a chiropractic adjustment will remove nerve interference and allow the free flow of Life Energy through your nerve system, how does an adjustment affect your immune response?
A: An adjustment increases your immune response. **A study published in 1994 showed that specific upper cervical adjustments increased the CD4 (white blood cell) counts in HIV positive patients by 48% over the six-month duration of the study.”

Are Your Family’s Lunchboxes Serving Lead for Lunch?
It’s a particularly unsettling notion: that the lunchboxes we use to send our
kids packing off to school with a healthy noontime meal may be tainting their
midday repast with a side order of unhappy surprise. Yet that’s the conclusion
of a new report from the Center for Environmental Health, which examined a
variety of popular lunchboxes and found that 25% of those tested contained a
heaping helping of hazardous lead.
At issue are lunchboxes made from soft vinyl, an increasingly popular choice
with manufacturers because of their ability to insulate foods and absorb all
kinds of punishment on those rugged journeys to and from school.

Does anyone else see a connection between Halloween (candy - sugar) and soooo many kids getting sick this time of the year? I remember Dr. Kira Frketich, N.D. telling me (I paraphrase), 1 tblsp of refined (white) sugar suppresses the immune system up to 50% for an hour (or so).
